What is your body's real age?

If we are honest enough with us,we admit that we fear of old age, especially the physical one. The good news is that the age that we have in the ID has nothing to do with the age of the body. That's because, according to the Daily Mail, the ability of our organs to regenerate is downright fantastic.
Liver-5 months
The liver is known for its capacity for regeneration, thanks to large influx of blood. If you wondered why even the great drinkers regularly improve their liver condition, the reason is that liver cells have a life expectancy of only 150 days.
Even if someone removes 70% of the liver, within two months he has the ability to return almost to normal size (90%).
Not the same thing happens in case of cirrhosis, in which case the liver can not regenerate.
Brain - the age in ID.
Few cells in the body accompany us throughout their lives, and most are found in the brain. "We are born with cells that we have over life - around 100 billion - and, mostly, the brain does not regenerate as the years go," said a British specialist.
In fact, as we age, we lose neurons, which is why it is installed and degenerative brain diseases such as dementia.
However, there are two regions of the brain where cells regenerate, they are olfactory bulb, which governs the smell, and the hippocampus, the brain region responsible for the ability to learn.
Heart - 20 years
Until recently it was believed that the heart can not regenerate. A study conducted by Medical College in New York shows however that found heart stem cells, which help the body regenerate constantly - three or four times during a lifetime.
Lungs - 2 to 3 weeks
And lung cells are constantly renewed. Different types of cells regenerate at different intervals, explains Dr. Keith Prowse, a British specialist in the field.
If the surface cells are renewed every 2-3 weeks to be in top form, they being in first place, those in more "in depth" regenerate within one year.
Taste buds - 10 days
The tongue is equipped with approximately 9,000 taste buds, which are renewed every 10 days or two weeks maximum. When inflammation, such as infection or smoking, the damage can affect cell regeneration, making them less sensitive.
Eyes - the age from ID
The eyes are one of the parts of the body who do not change throughout life. The only component that is constantly regenerating is the cornea. In case of accidents can recover in 24 hours, explains Dr. Rob Hogan.
Skin - 2-4 weeks
Cells under the skin is renewed every 2-4 weeks, the main reason being that the skin is the body's means of protection in relation with the outside world, being exposed to injuries and pollution.
Bones - 10 years
Even skeleton regenerate constantly explain an osteoporosis expert from Britain. A complete cycle takes 10 years of regeneration. In other words, at any time of life in bone cells is an accumulation of old and new.
At midlife, however, the cell renewal process slows down, the bones becoming thin, and this is when you can install osteoporosis.
Intestines - 2-3 days
Guts regenerate every 2-3 days, the reason being the constant exposure to chemicals such as highly corrosive acids in the stomach. Other portions of the gut, which is protected with a mucus from the acid is regenerated every 3-5 days.
Nails - 6-10 months
Nails are based on a protein-rich cells called hard keratin. Nails grow from 3.4 mm hands every month, almost twice faster than those from the legs.
If it takes 10 months for a fingernail from legs to grow completely, at the hands are only required at 6 months. The phenomenon could be explained by greater blood flow in this part of the body. The oddly small nail grows more slowly than others, the reason being unknown.
Youth and men's nails generally grow faster, probably due to better blood circulation.
Red blood cells - 4 months
Red blood cells transport vital body system, leading oxygen to every tissue is renewed every four months, the old ones are destroyed in the spleen.
Their number may decrease as a result of injury or menstruation, so the body must always renew the blood.
Hair - 3-6 years
The age of the hair depends on its length. In general, hair grows 1 inch per month, experts explained. A single hair lives six years for women, and three years for men.
Eyebrows and eyelashes are renewed every six weeks. Pulling hair from the eyebrows stops the growth, breaking the cycle.
