Ideal food during summer

Fruits, vegetables and fats from fish and vegetable oils make up the perfect diet for warm season. According to nutritionists, seasonal foods facilitates digestion and stimulates detoxification.

Adopting a soft diet during the summer is at hand to anyone, considering the variety of fruits and vegetables specific to this season. Summer diet has a double benefit.

On one hand, enables us to feed healthy and on the other hand,to get rid of a few pounds. This is because fruits and vegetables contain negative calories to be digested, and requires a lot more energy than they provide.

Therefore, the difference on their metabolism of energy required is taken from the adipose tissue.

Also, besides that they supply nutrients, fruits and vegetables contain more water which helps maintain optimal hydration levels.

Aqueous uncrowned queen of vegetables is the tomato.

Besides water,it has in its composition lycopene, an antioxidant that helps prevent prostate cancer and decreases the blood cholesterol levels.

The tomato is closely followed by pepper, onion and green beans, zucchini, lettuce, eggplant and peas.

In terms of fruit, a large amount of water is found in peaches, nectarines, pears, plums and melons. Diet can be balanced with meat (only chicken and fish), preferably steam cooked.

Vegetable salad, easily digested

During summer, the vegetables salad can be consumed daily because it brings many benefits to the body. It is easily digested, and contains antioxidants that can prevent cancer.

In the salad can be added almonds and nuts because they contain unsaturated fats (Omega 3 fatty acids), which slows digestion and, moreover, prevents cardiovascular disease.

Also, from the diet should not miss the fresh parsley. It is anti-infection, diuretic, depurative, antiseptic and promotes the elimination of toxins through sweat.

Although doctors advise us to increase fluid consumption especially during the summer, many people do not take into account this advice.

In the warm season, extra moisturizing of the body is important because a good part of the body consumes energy in thermoregulatory processes.

Foro preventing dehydration, it is recommanded to drink at least two liters of fluid per day.

Besides water,we can also choose mint tea, because it has a better cooling and hydrateting effect as water.
